GTP vs. 03/04 Si w/ mods

I'm leaving the movies with 3 of my friends. As we're walkin to my car, some kid starts revving the shit out of his Si. I just kinda ignore and walk to my car. I got in and he is pullin away so i decide to follow him. We get to the light to leave the mall and he pulls out on the highway and punches it. I followed him without much trouble and pass him doin 100 or so and then have to slam on brakes for a light. He pulls up next to me at the light, the road in front is completely clear, the perfect set up. I look over at him and he's laughing... yes, laughing at me. Needless to say i was a lil pissed, and kind of amused by it. the light turns green and we take off, i beat off the line and and pulled a good 5 or 6 cars on him before he gave up. I wish i coulda seen the look on his face... a very satisfying kill indeed...

those Si's are duds and are total trash. very very crappy and over priced car. its hard to believe that people would actually pay money for those cars and thinks they're fast. good kill.

isnt't the new SI supposed to be a lot better though? rumors are 195 whp, not 195 at the crank

well its rated by honda at 197 crank... and the times ive seen suggest that it runs mid to high 15s. id think that a car with 195whp and weighs a lil less than 2900 lbs would run faster than mid 15s. but then again it does suffer in the tq department. im inclined to think the honda rating isnt far off. my car is slightly heavier, a lil above 3k lbs, has 190hp crank and runs similar times. but my car has a considerable tq advantage over the Si.

the lack of tq can be made less apparent when you have tight gear ratios ( which the new Si has ) also the new Si does indeed have decent grunt. they may only got it to run a mid 15 but look at the trap speed. that sucker traps at 95 mph. thats good for a high 14 if he can hook up right.
