Re: getting a new toy tonight.

what one are you getting? I got mine mounted in top of the steering colomn, very visible and easy install. Ive seen a few people with it in the dash. Looks great, but more money and time needed. Could also go under the dash, but w/e suits you.

Re: getting a new toy tonight.

I'm hoping you don't smoke, so in that case, you could put the turbo timer in the ashtray, or you could put the the boost controller in there. good luck man@

If you dont already have one get a boost guage before you even think of installing the boost controller. As for the turbo timer they are a waste of money IMO.

If you run the car hard at all driving it easy for the last 5 minutes of the trip will cool the oil in the turbos just fine.

Yeah, but if you're out at the track... it's easier to just let the timer handle it... then u can get outta the car and take the keys with ya... and watch some other people race... it's really just a matter of how much time you have, and how you drive your car...

I really don't know at this point... It depends on the way it gets settled I guess... I am prolly gonna get a beater for a few months... then maybe another 3S, there's one for $2k (DOHC) down the road... and it's in good shape and has a J-SPEC engine in it... With all I had invested in mine... I should either hang onto it or get another and transfer parts... I'm thinking a/b buying the other and transplanting all my toys... mine would have to have extensive work done to fix it

Re: getting a new toy tonight.

damn dude....thats the first pic ive seen...i would have beat that guys ass. As bad as that looks though, there may not be any frame damage. new bumper, hatch and quarter and your back on the road. But, a DOHC for $2K, you might as well get that and keep the busted one as a parts car.

If you run it down the quarter mile the low speed cruise to get your ticket and back up to the pit lanes is good enough for a cool down.
