rare earth magnet/fuel atomization...blah blah

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Fuel-...28769558QQrdZ1

So while browsing ebay out of boredom, I came across this gem. Skeptical doesn't even begin to describe my feelings of thier rare magnets from krypton or whatever. But I was curious if there was any kind of half-truth that they extracted this BS from, or if it was a complete fabrication.

"This item was designed to create a magnetic field around your fuel line, capable of separating hydrocarbon clusters, resulting in more complete and efficient combustion"

Anyway, I've never heard of magnetic fields having any effect on fuel atomization. Any thoughts?

Popular Mechanics did an article on snake oil fuel saving products a few months back, and this was one of the products...if I remember correctly, it is just that: snake oil, with no noticable changes in mileage.

Re: rare earth magnet/fuel atomization...blah blah

they were working on their idea that a magnet could affect the position of the molecules. they believed that if you provide a constant magnetic field, the electrons will be attracted to one side and you can force them to line up and this would somehow provide a better burn. as we all know this is total BS but they try to use some kind of logic to entice the uneducated.
