A couple of classic rally Fiats

Alitalia 131 in 1:20 scale (Tamiya) and 124 Spyder in 1:43scale (Racing 43 metal model)

Both done quite a while ago so could be better, the 1:43 124 Spyder was only the second one I have ever done and I found it very fiddly!

Sprry about the indoor picture quality, too bright or too dim!

Darren

Thankyou, yes it is actually dark blue, the photos make it appear a bit green.

I did make a mistake though. I painted it with gloss blue and it should actually be a satin/semigloss finish according to the reference photos I have seen. Oh well I know for next time!

Both are really nice models. Love the 131 - great-looking rally car!

Fantiatic stuff, the 124 Spyder in particular is a very unusual subject. Thanks for sharing your great FIATs!

Thanks Rallyraider, I like a lot of the old 70's rally cars especially in tarmac spec. Racing 43 do at least 3 versions of the 124 spyder as well as things like Ferrari 308's in 1:43 and 1:24 scales. I have one of the 1:24 scale 308 Ferrari's still to do. I got as far as painting the stripes and it all went horribly wrong, the brake fluid had to come out and I am now back to the start again! All part of the learning process!
