I have just purchased this car and did not notice that the coolant was leaking. The other day when I pulled out the light went on for low antifreeze. I popped the hood and found the tank to be completely empty! There was a big green puddle under my car. I went to a mechanic and he said that it was a rip in the hose in several places. He wants to charge me at least $150 he said maybe more if more tears are discovered. I know that a hose costs $10 at most. Is this a reasonable price for repair? Do I maybe have a more serious problem? New at this please help.

Re: 1999 Audi A4 1.8 Automatic Serious Coolant Leakage
thats not a bad price for the repair depnding on how much labor is........ if u cant find the hose yourself and flush the radiator and bleed the lines and you set if you find the right hose it will cost you about 30$ between fluid and the hose
