Talking Subaru pt.8: 1969 R2 completed

PROGRESS thread. Nothing much to see in there really. This kit is very simple. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=414127

Also working on the 360. Should be finished by the new year.

Testors Diamond green. It is like a light creamy green.

Next to Toyota bB for size reference.

Thanks

Re: Subaru pt.8: 1969 R2 completed

I have a stupid noob question..but what can I use to wash the panel lines? Black will be too dark..do you think a thinned out tamiya green would look odd? Thanks

Liked the pictures and noticed the baja, do you own one? I have an '03, trading it in for the last year of production '06 turbo. If you know of body kits, trunk kits and ways to make it faster,(conservatively) let me know about it....thanks

Hey blubaja,
I took an intrest in your thread because I own and love my own '03 dark metallic blue baja. There are not many of us baja enthsuthiast around. I took pics of mine now I'm just trying to figure out how to attach them to my profile or as a reply, its obvious I need help w/ my computer literacy, so I don't mean to sound stupid but.... what is as you say...."AIM" and "PMs"....once I know that I'll try to contact you that way...later QueenNadine. Oh, I looked at your "my space" too BTW, Subaru's are my favorite too. If you know a lot mechanically about what ways I can conservatively bring my HP up, I'd like you to share....and I'm considering dual exhaust... two chrome pipes in the back might look cool, I might even trade up to the '06 turbo since this is the last year for baja, too bad they only have blue atlantic pearl this year. K. Bye
QueenNadine

Re: Subaru pt.8: 1969 R2 completed

MODS, please let this go for a bit. All of my email, and PM do not function on my home computer. We had a virus, and the java/javascript is broken..something..I dunno that much about computers. But, please. This is the only way I can contact with QueenNadine. Thanks, Frank X.

QueenNadine:
AIM is Aol instant messenger. PM's are the little emails we can send through this site. The '03 dark blue is called Mystic blue pearl, and was suposed to be an '04 color. So it is somewhat rare. Try to look up parts for the 2.5 Impreza. These go with our Bajas. The turbo Baja can use STi parts.

I will do that for parts in the mean time I've been talking with a suby technician that says he can bump up my HP... 100 HP more for $2000, he used to be w/ Subaru and now has his own shop. What do you think of that? I have looked and looked and as far as any body mods I have not seen any kits except for the snug fit for the trunk...Even changing the lights out seems impossible, even still I love my car. I got it right off the show room floor in '03....I just looked at the '06 today....love the new antenne and homelink, and the way it lets you know exactly when the car is in AWD and when its not. Hate very much three measly color choices, and midnight blue is no longer. Have you done any thing for your baja? Assuming you have one? Not sure if I want to part or go new again. What do you think of the automatic sport shift verses the standard?

There is a site that will answer many more of your questions that I can't. If the mods let it go for a bit... but it's www dot nasioc dot com
