power antenna

Somebody knows if the power antennas used on the Lincoln Continentals year 1994 were tha same for all models. I have a 1994 Signature series, in need of a power antenna, I found one but it says Lincoln Continental no signature series, I want to know if it will work.
Any feedback deeply apreciated.
Thanks. betty

hey betty,
well a friend of mine had a lincoln also. his antenna wouldn't work anymore. you may need to replace the motor that pushed the antenna up and down. make sure the antenna isn't bent. you may want to check out local auto part stores, and ask if they can get you a motor, or the entire kit. check out www.crutchfield.com they sell some antennas, its under the radio accessories. good luck.

Betty,

To answer your question (although by now, its more than 6mos old), YES... It will work. A Continental is a Continental (well, with 99.9% of the parts anyhow )

Re: power antenna

what causes the power antenna to go up but not come back down unless you help push it the first 1/4 of the way down?

Sounds like the plastic strip in the center of the antena mast, (which is what pushes it up and pulls it down) is broken, or has stripped teeth right at the end of it.
