Help please: removing rear leaf springs

I need some advice on removing the rear leaf springs from my 1968 Mustang. Specifically, I am having trouble removing the front eyelet bolt.
I have already removed the rear shackle so the spring is only attached to the car at the front eyelet now. I have also removed the nut from the eyelet bolt. The problem is that the bolt just won't budge. I can't even get it to rotate within the bushing. It just torques the bushing as far as I can turn it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
