Unhappy Tamiya 1/12 Datsun 240ZG

hey guys i got a 1/12 scale Datsun 240ZG a few years back and having started to do the front bumper/light housing body parts and getting the parts fitted together and now thats scary, and i'm scared to continue with this model as theres oodles and oodles of parts and its huge!

theres opening doors, opening hatchback, moving suspension i believe

as p-man says on his 1/12 build scared of painting the huge beast! i always stick to 1/24

now the model is sitting under my bed gathering dust

OK. Here is what to do. Package model back into the box, find suitable box to allow royal mail to send it to my house.

I will then store it for you. And in a few years time I will then build iy for you, post pictures on here for you to look at..

This is the worst thread ever and it will remain so until we see some progress.

Re: Tamiya 1/12 Datsun 240ZG

Looks good, what were you so afraid of? Does this kit include decals for a racing version like as pictured inside the box (near the body)?

the picture inside of the box (the red car) is actually the rally car which is a separate kit with different decals, but yes there is a set of decals as in the top of the 5th pic (where ive got the parts spread out around the box) to make a racing version - there are 3 number decals and some sponsor decals no use to me apart from the dials (speedo and rev counter)

Looks pretty good to me.. Not so keen on 1:12, just a little too big, but you can get awsome detail from.. Been tempted a few times with 1:12 scale F1 cars..

Keep up the good work.

You've never worked on a 1:1 car have you? hehe..

Looks great so far! If you are up for making a driver figure, I found that a Spiderman Action figure can easily fit in the 1:12. Not that Spiderman needs a car, but you get the idea. Keep up the awsome progress!
