Ok I know you guys have run across some b/s like this sooner or later. My question is how the hell do you deal with this? I'll I drive is a poopy RS, so drag racing is out of the question. I'm good at argueing, but as you can tell, this guy has 2 brain cells, 1 for domestics, and 1 that tells him to piss and shit. Yes they do. I can NOT wait until I get the 50 trim on my DSM when I get my DSM . As soon as its tuned and everything is set, I will be looking for "v8 muscle" to fuck. See, what what I have noticed, most of them think its faster than imports because A) its a domestic or B) its a V8. They dont realize the potential power of a boosted car and think "Oh half the cylinders, have the power, half the speed". Theres nothing you can do about them, they are far too hard headed until it gets thrown in their faces. Not to say that all V8's are slow, but just because they are a V8 doesnt mean they are fast.

This is a delima for me. Because I own a domestic and an import.

I have an upmost respect for eclipses just from owning and knowing what they are capable of. But for me that is as far as my import respect goes.

I'm a domestic guy true and true, and if I see a fast import I give him props, but if a guy comes up to me and says, fuck your mustang my four banger will smoke your v8. Well then I just let them have a taste of the cobra and a good look at my tail lights.

I love my dsm, but you have to understand. There are always going to be faster cars on both sides. Just because you run acorss a 92 camaro, Doesn't mean he doesn't have 500+hp to the wheels. Same with a import. Just because I run up on an import doesn't mean It can't be a fast import that will school me.

But on the topic of the guy in question. He sounds like a real douche bag that gives domestic drivers a bad name.

Just because we drive domestic doesn't mean we think we are the fastest shit on the road. But ignorance fuels pissing contests and this is on both sides.

The point is, with enough money and time, any car domestic or import can be faster than the other.
