Re: price for new rear installation

I recently had a transmission (AOD) replaced and 3:73 gears installed at the same time. I spent about $230 on the gears (including the bearing installation kit) and about $400 in labor. However, the labor included the tranny install too. I would guess about $400 for parts and labor would be reasonable. My car was a completely different car to drive afterwards. I got the motive, performance plus gears and a monster motorsports transmission. It pops second any time you want it to and sometimes when you don't.

It's funny that you mention you purchased a monster motorsports tranny cuz i had their aode installed a couple of months ago and i am beyond pleased. Its a new experience to get on it and my whole rear come out from behind the car from 1st to 2nd. i appreciate the feedback.
