2002 Isuzu Rodeo Tailgate Problems
I am having problems with the tailgate on the 2002 Isuzu Rodeo Sport.
I cannot open the tailgate from the outside, the lock is either broken or out of wack. Was wondering how to remove the pannel from the inside or how to force it open, without causing more damage. I saw the messages about the 99 rodeo that was having the same problems as mine, but was wondering if the 99 is the same or not. When I took the Rodeo to my mach. he didn't want to pull out the inside panal, because he was afraid he would break it and not be able to fix it.

IIRC, the netting part pulls off as a unit and exposes the mounting screws that need to be removed to pop the inside panel off. Dont do it when cold as that greatly increases your chances of breaking plastic. Warm and they can flex easily.
