Exclamation More Power Car Is Sluggish

I HAVE A 2001 GRANDPRIX GT AND WAS WANTING TO GET BETTER PERFORMANCE, BUT CANT FIND ANYTHING WORTH TRYING WITHOUT PAYING AN ARM AND A LEG.
ALL I WANT IS TO INCREASE HP, ELIMINATE SPEED LIMIT, AND TIGHTEN THE SHIFTING. PREFERABLY WITHOUT HAVING TO RUN 93 OCTANE ALL OF THE TIME, OR TO HAVE IT SETTUP WHERE I CAN SWITCH FROM ONE SETTING TO ANOTHER.

Re: More Power Car Is Sluggish

any time you wanna increase power and performance you you wanna increase your octane leve. like the GTP's they are high compression engines and require the 93 octane. i was gonna tell you to buy the reprogrammed computer for your car but then you have to swtich to 93. they have shift kits and stuff like that you can buy. you just gotta look. its hard finding parts for the GT and evenb harder for the SE. your best bet if you wanted to add mods to a Prix was to get the GTP if you dont wanna pay the extra 2 bucks to fill up your tank once and a while...you dont need to be driving a faster car. the price of gas was the least thing on my mind when i bought my GTP and 93 oc. was 3.71 a gallon.

THANKS.
I WOULDNT MIND USING 93 OCTANE ON OCCASSIONS BUT I DRIVE 60 MILES EVERY DAY TO WORK. THATS WHY I WAS WANDERING IF THERE WAS ANYTHING TO SWITCH BACK AND FORTH, FROM HIGH PERFORMANCE BACK TO STOCK. UNLESS THE REPROGRAMMED COMPUTER WOULD INCREASE MY GAS MILEAGE. I DONT KNOW THAT IS WHY I WAS ASKING.BUT IF SO WHERE CAN I FIND ONE, HOW MUCH, AND WHAT KIND OF MODIFICATIONS WOULD I NEED FOR THE CAR.
