Question 2002 BMW 330xi

In early 2005 I purchased a used Beemer. It is now time for it's first visit to the dealer for an oil change. The car has just under 70,000 km and I am wondering what if anything needs to be done. I am a little afraid of being taken at the dealer for alot of maintenance that is really not required. That being said if there are things that need to be addressed I will. What if anything might still be covered under the warranty?? Thanks for your help.
PS Just bought 4 winter tires ...good thing ice and not noise is the problem!!

You might need engine belts, and complete vehicle tune up aka inspection 1. I doubt with your low milage your need some suspension components but I dont know how the car was driven.

Re: 2002 BMW 330xi

Change your bellts and oil. By this moment there should have been at least 12 oil changes (i dont think anyone has done it thoug). Use only high quality oils such as synth. Castrol, etc. Besides if thats an auto-change your tranny oil. If you will keep it for a while get some Bimmer fuel addities to clean up the fuel system, etc. (they do work in the long run). Then replace the fuel filter and maybe the plugs. If you do a nice complete tune up on this car prepare to spend a lot especially at the dealer.

I have a 2001 325i with 70k miles on it.

At this stage - your car should just need an oil and belts change if they haven't been done recently.

Also, at about 70k Kilometers, it is about time that the brake pads will be near their end - if they haven't been replaced already. If new pads are needed, try and change them before the "brake pad warning" light comes on. Once the light comes on - you will need to replace one or more of the brake wear sensors which will be an additional cost.
