Re: eccentric shaft

Try a local big rig repair shop and see if they will loan one out to you or if there is an autozone near you see if they have one large enough in the loan a tool service.

Re: eccentric shaft

What Size Socket is it anyways? As I have a 1inch 3/4inch and 1/2inch gun.

Sad thing is the 1/2inch will out torque the 3/4, but the 1inch owns all. max 2400ft/lbs

Should be plenty no?

Re: eccentric shaft

Even with the right socket its hard to get off there. There is actualy a special tool to do that. You can buy the plate that holds the flywheel while you attempt to remove the nut. :P

good luck

Re: eccentric shaft

Like FDTT said there is a tool to take it off but you can lock the motor down and use a power handle with a cheater bar to break it loose.
Cheater bar= anything large enough to fit over a power handle and strong enough to turn it without bending.
