white walls

just to change the subject cause i see a bitch fest happening over a gas mileage poll.

i see alot of u guys dont have white wall lettering on your trucks. are u guys not a big fan of the white wall lettering or do the tires not come with it?

i think the white walls look better on a truck ....more sporty looking or sumthing i dunno. i always make sure the white walls are out on a new set of tires.

what is your reasons

and always remeber we are all chevy guys so why cant we all get along we all have to stick together so these ford guys does overun us ....hahaha like that will ever happen

Blackwalls look cleaner and more truck like IMO. White letters are a little overused.

Re: white walls

I'm a RWL guy myself. Looks a little more sporty if you get a good tire with it. OBW looks too cheap and plain to me. My Silvy has RWL and my Hoe has OBW and both look ok........I just like the RWL better. Always have, always will.

Re: white walls

im a fan of the white wall to, i also think the black wall looks like hell unless its a bigger tire on a lifted truck or the truck has wheels, but on a stock wheel i think the white walls look the best

I need to get newer pics of my truck up since my new tires and my nerfs "fell off"

Re: white walls

I personally like the look of RWL as well but black wall or black lettering is easier to keep looking clean, sometimes that white lettering can be a pain in the ass looking white. I heard that windex works well but don't know if it works and have not tried it either although i know it does clean up an aluminum intake well.

I like the raised white lettering on my BFG A/T's, the letters arent to hard to keep clean i just spray some westley's bleach white on them give a quick scrub and they look good as new. I think black walls are just kind of plain for my truck atleast. But put on what you like not what we like.

Right. Nothing beats wesley's. I keep it by the gallon jug, even though I don't have whitewalls. Nothing works better on white or black wall tires to quickly and easily clean the grime.

The trick to having blackwalls is to always keep them clean and dressed. If your wheels look nice, white letters detract from them IMO, or end up giving an overly "busy" appearance. If your wheels look plain, sometimes white letters help.

I got tired of cleaning those stupid tires. Blackwalls all the way.

I had to order my tires, and I didnt have a choice of black or white. So,in the future,if I would like the WL back, all that has to be done is to have them flipped over.

(sig pic is with the old, dirty white letter tires)

I reall have do choice. I have high performance Falken tires which are void of any white lettering. However there is some decent esign on the blackwalls which I like!!!

Blacks all the way, although when you get to low-pros the white letters are practically non-existent so no worries for me. Never liked them and wish my parents wouldn't use them but i just assume its the 'older' interest.
