block test kit
where can i get 1?? they also might be called combustion leak tester kit. they tell u if exhaust gases are present- i went to just about every parts store around and nobody had them. i am going to go to a few more tomorrow. any ideas???

here's a site showing how http://www.xs11.com/tips/misc/misc3.shtml You can also buy one through Princess Auto in Canada for $89.99 Canadian. Their catolog # is 4230769 It's an off shore unit, but probably good enough for you. Their canadian phone # is 1-800-665-8685 or go to www.princessauto.com It's actually called a leak down tester and they don't tell you if exhaust gases are present. They tell you if the cylinders are leaking through the rings or valves. |

sorry OBP , i think hes actually talking about one of thos head gasket leak detectors , that you stick on the radiator with the special fluid that picks up combustion gases in the coolant , if present the fluid in the tester then chages color , indicating a blown head gasket
but yeah , are genearlly availble at most parts stores, usually from 20-50$ , autozone , napa , kragen , just go ask a sales rep where they are |
