Re: 98 GT 5spd engine swap ?

I would just put in a runing 2.4L the 3100 isnt that great, a twin cam could take one, and the 3400 would give you some power, but you could easily add a few things to a 2.4L and be just as fast as a stock 3400

Re: 98 GT 5spd engine swap ?

Check on car-parts.com they seem to have one of the best search engines out there. You can find quads with low miles for a halfway decent price, and it will be much less to swap the quad with another quad. Changing to a different motor means wiring, computer, instrument cluster, suspension etc.

Re: 98 GT 5spd engine swap ?

well your not going to find a 3400 motor and a 5 speed for it, plus all the wiring and parts you might need for the swap. maybe 1,000 if your lucky, but not 500
