GPS/DVD in-dash on late model PA?

Has anyone try or had any success in installing a gps/DVD system in a 1-din or 2-din slot, in-dash of a late model ('99 - '05) PA? I am intested in purchasing a '03 PAU. And the radio part of the dash looks like it's a 2-din space. I was hoping that I can have a gps/DVD install. Thanks.

When it comes to installs, anything is possible. It all pretty much depends on how much your going to spend on the project. Some GPS units have the same "unit size" as a factory or aftermarket radio, making it an easy installation. The screen itself on these models will connect to the unit just like a detach face on an aftermarket stereo. The only GPS installation I tackled was in a 02' PA, but we did something a little different. We took a storage compartment out on an old Dynasty (it matched the gray interior of the PA) and bolted it into the PA into the floor, under the dash (the same exact location it was meant to be in the Dynasty) Then we integrated the GPS unit into the front of the storage compartment where the small opening lid used to be. It looked great, the factory stereo was kept, below was climate controls, and then the GPS unit. This project was a pain to finish, but I believe it was actually easier than tearing into the dash and custom fitting a unit that wouldn't fit..
