Talking Might sell my Jeep and get a GT

I just got my 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 in January and I like it, but I really wanted a 99+ GT, but insurance is tooooo high. Well I will be 21 in July next year and I am alrady saving and planning on getting a 01 or so GT. I just plain love the car. Its fast and it fits me like a glove. I am just wondering if there are any known problems with 5-speed 99-02 GTs? Is there a best year? Anything I should make sure to get or not get?

Thanks

You should be safe with any of those years, but if you got the money go for an 02. Really if your going to spend that you could probably pickup a 99 cobra for less. I have not heard of any major problems with any of the newer GTs. Get a 5-speed and enjoy.

Cobra would be nice, but insurance is the problem. I can get a 01 GT for $16k. I don't want to spend more than $16k in July next year.

It might be a bit more on insurance. But my insurance went down when I switched from my 95 v6 mustang to my cobra. I turned 21 a few months prior, so it is possible they did not enter the change untill I switched cars.
