Question Whats the best All Wheel Drive system?

hey, titles pretty self explanitory. i love all wheel drive, but i have trouble deciding which car company uses the best system.

i've come to understand viscous coupling, torsen, and the skyline gt-rs clutch system.

i know the clutch system is complex and exspensive, part to why the skyline is so expensive (along with the rb26dett motor) i know that i like the torque sensing (torsen) system, all mechanical, proactive worm gears but not much is said about it and how it works. i do know though that it gives all the advantages of the viscous coupling system but none of its dis-advantages.

audi and subaru dominate the awd world, but is viscous coupling used merely cause its cheapest to produce?

which one is the best in your opinion? let me know, i'm all ears

The Porsche 969 with computer controled center front and rear differentials. If you don't have an extra 200k laying around it depends on what you want, for pure strength, go with the STi for the best handeling import a R34 from Japan, but all factors considerd go get an Evo it takes second place in almost every catagory and is avalable for 28k.

Jeep quadradrive, hands down. With the proper lube, you can't beat it up or burn it up.

LOL I don't think that the quatradrive is track proven do you No I am sure that it works wounders offroad, but it would not hold a candle to the 969 when it comes to high speed handeling.

Re: Whats the best All Wheel Drive system?

ive had audi quattros, subarus, nissans and i have to say mitsubishis active yaw awd system fitted to my lancer evo6 is the best by far, the more power in to the the corner the more grip you get, but this does result in some stupidly fast cornering speeds

Re: Whats the best All Wheel Drive system?

i actually test drove an evo8 over the summer, it was fun but i liked the sti's performance overall. not just the awd, but the sheer sound of the sti is hands down uncompairable
mitsubishi does have a car that i think is rediculously entertaining to drive, my best friend's 98 vr4. i know they have their problems but its become one of my favorite cars.

i never got into porsche's awd system because i think (hopefully i don't offend anyone with this) i think an all wheel drive porsche is unnecessary.
i'll explain why if you'd like.

if you wanna talk about cornering, i took my sisters 89 325ix. bmw + awd = crazy.

comments welcomed

i did have a favorite awd vehicle though and it is a mitsubishi. its the vr4. brilliant car. not so much technically
