question about buying parts...

I'm new to forum (as well as new to US)
Could anybody tell me if is it possible to buy a part to my Nissan myself? If yes where (not a dealer) and where to get a symbol of part required.

Thnx for help!
regards
Katie

Technically still a dealer but a little cheaper: Click here~> http://www.courtesynissan.com/en_US/HomePage_1.chtml or http://www.courtesyparts.com/

I'm assuming you don't want to order from a local dealer because they are expensive?

Yes you can order new engines from Nissan, or atleast remanufactured engines rebuilt to OEM specs. But because they are high quality rebuilds covered by warranty they are expensive. Your best bet would be to find a low mileage engine and drop it in or a blown motor and have it rebuilt locally.
