Gettin' Spark????

The 3.1 V6 utilizes a timing chain and gears- I doubt it slipped. Mostly, 4cyl engines use timing belts. Bigger motors can have too much torque.

So......your getting spark, but you think you don't have gas (does that sound right???) Did you try spraying some starting fluid into the intake to see if it starts??? Does it sound normal during cranking- no hard cranking, or sputtering, or backfiring through the intake?

Your next step is to determine if you're getting spark and/or fuel. No spark could be many issues, crank sensor, ign module, computer, etc... No fuel could be a pump, relay or fuel pressure regulator.
