Have 2000 Blazer LT 4Dr. What is the max load I can tow? I have the factory tow package.

We would need a lot more info.
Engine and transmission and transfercase radiator and transmission cooler gear ratio how big trailor hitch and springs on rear. What are you pulling/ Does it have trailer brakes. What kind of roads will you be pulling on? And weather conditions?
You have to evulate all of these things.
You could probably budge/move a semi truck but I would not pull it very far.
Give us a little more info.
And remember if a auto transmission no towing in overdrive.

Make sure your trailer hitch is big enought for the trailer tounge weight and total weight.
Make sure your transmission cooler is rated big enough.
And remember no towing in overdrrive as stated in your owners manual.
Check with the place you by your trailer and they should help you out with the specs on it and check things out for you.
And always watch your tempture gauge when towing.
And a transmission tempt gauge is a good idea when towing.
Your engine should have the power to pull it but.
Stock radiators are only rated at 85-90% of engine cooling.
If you add 10-15 % more total weight you are running at max on your raidator cooling capacity.
If you tow anything very heavy you may need a bigger raidiator.

I have towed 350gal of water on a 5X10 trailer. 1 gal of water = 1.33333 lbs.
Plus all equipment to pressure wash... I had no troubles but I did have to flush the trany every 3 months.....just to give you an idea on the abuse these things can take for the size truck it is....my truck did come with the factory tow package...and the trany cooler.

That sure is light weight water.
Most water or liquid weights 6-8 lbs to the gallon.
And some trailers and loads even same weight pull harder than others for some reason. Plus wind and big hills sure make a differance.
And yes on take care of that transmission.

I was thinking about putting an eclipse on a tralior and driving it across PA about 400 miles. I have a 97 blazer 4x4. I know it has a trailor hitch w/ the light hook up there, but i don't know if i have anything special from the factory. would this be a bad idea on a blazer w/ 120,000 miles?

I don't know about puunds or gallons being Canadian, but I do know that 1 litre of water weighs 1 kg, which is about 2 pounds, You can put about 3 1/2 litres of water in a 1 gallon container.
So doing the math your almost right on. About 7 pounds more or less a few ounces.
+ the weight of the container and trailer on top of that.

But then again if you break water back in to the oxygen and hydrogen particles it would be pretty light

mine had over 15000 miles on it when I did my towing, I am very adament about the maintanance on my Blazer so Im not going to say you wouldnt have any problems, Depends on the truck and what it is equiped for.
From reading my manual my trucks towing capacity is 5000 lbs. When I did my towing I had the trailer well balanced, and the tires properly inflated, and I very rarely whent over 50Mph.
