Christmas Eve: Battle of the CRX's lol (long but funny)

So luckily last night we had a pretty clear day with no rain, and perfectly dry roads. I know that every year the "car club" goes to their spot to hang out on Christmas Eve. So I decide to take out the ol' boosted Rex to see what kind of trouble I can stir up. So I drive around for about a half hour just kinda looking for a race on an empty and pretty much cop-free intown highway. When I see up in the distance the unmistakeable ass-end of a fellow CRX. I speed up to him a little bit and get next to him. We notice that the light ahead of us is red so decide not to go from a roll. No we have a while before the light turns green so I decide to check out his sweet ride lol. It was equipped with an aftermarket front bumper that looked like something that came on a hotwheels car. It had what looks like some expensive aftermarket wheels, it of course had to have the big aluminum wing, and it had a hood that was painted black (apparently that makes your car lighter like carbon fiber does). Also cluttering the outside of this guy's car is a NOS sticker that I am pretty sure I have seen at wal-mart. My car on the other hand, has a tasteful low-key body kit, and a REAL carbon fiber hood.

So this guy sees me check out his car and decides that he wants a story to tell his car-club so he revs his engine initiating a race. It of course had one of those pop-cans the ricer club likes to call an actual exhaust system, so it made a very annoying high-pitched noise. Surprised that this guy actually started the race between the obviously more properly modded car, I give him a rev back. The difference is my somewhat muscular (for a 1.8 liter honda) exhaust note is accompanied by the unmistakeable whistle of a blow-off valve. I roll down my window, look at him and give him a huge ol' grin. He revs back, apparently to show me that he was not intimidated. So I decide to give him a little sip of some N20. The gas shot up into the air right by his passenger window. He quickly looked towards the light acting like he didnt see that purge.

So the light turns green and he takes off as fast as he can. I give it maybe 1/3 throttle. Just keep even with him and make him think that it is actually a close race. I just keep that constant speed pretty much and let him pull away. He turns on his flashers and slows down. I follow him to his car club and pull in just after he does and park. He goes to talk to all of his friends (probably to tell them how he smoked me). I go over to his car and start talking to him

Me: Damn dude! You smoked me! What you go in that thing?

He pops the hood, exposing the stock engine

Him: Its pretty heavily modded, I have headers, intake shorter shifter, and ignition.

I inspect the engine carefully noticing everything is all rusted and dirty

Me: I noticed your sticker says you have NOS, where are your solenoids dude?

Him (surprised that I called him on the sticker): Uhhh I took em off cuz I had to get my tank filled.

Me: Right on dude, you wanna check mine out?

Him: Sure

So I pop the hood of my car and everybody in the club crowds around to see an actually modded engine (something they dont very often come in contact with)

Me: I swapped in the b18 engine out of a GSR. Yea I have a turbonetics t3/t04 turbo pushing 8psi for now. I have n20 too, but mine's Nitrous Express, not NOS.

Everybody looks at each other wondering if the guy really beat me

Me: Hey how about a rematch dude. Let's go from a roll this time. Maybe I'll have a better chance.

Him: Ummmmmm ok

So we get back into our cars and get onto the highway. Just about everybody from the car club followed suit to see the race. So get side by side with lots of room to go. I give him three honks and we both take off. I obviously blow his doors off. But atleast I gave him the christmas preseant of beating one of the fastest imports in town.

That was cruel. You made him look like an idiot in front of his "car club". Good job on that.

I was worried because usually when they see all that stuff done to your car they chicken out. That reminds me of this kid I know. One day he started to brag about some kind of car, the type I forget. He mentioned that it was turbo, and while he was preaching to about 4 other idiots, I casually asked him what size "boost tank" he had. Hes like ' oh yeah its like a 10 gallon tank. idiots

Laughter followed by pity. Kinda felt bad for the guy thinking he could take a boosted CRX with his "heavily modded" one, but he had it coming to him.

That story completed my X-mas mang, my hat's off to you.

The guy drives the EP3 Civic is a total tool, if its the person I think it is.
Get this, about a year ago I left my car unlocked at their little car club meeting (I like to go show those people down there what a real car looks like now and then) with the doors open. In there I had left this sweatshirt my girlfriend searched for for a very long time to get me for my birthday. When my I go back my car I notice my sweatshirt is missing. Not the $800 of digital gauges that car had in it, but a $50 sweatshirt that my girl had obviously spent a long time searching for. I had had the thing for about a year or so, so it had some wear on it, but it was still very special to me because it was a gift from a person I cared about. So I assume somebody had stolen it because I know that it was sitting right on the passenger seat that night when I went to show off my car. So the next week when I went down there I see this guy standing next to an EP3 civic wearing MY sweatshirt!!! ( knew it was mine because it was a size XL and this guy was at most a Medium) I decide not to make a big deal out of it because after all it is just a sweatshirt I guess. So I don't approach him. I do however tell a couple people about the whole incident and word gets to him that I think hes a theif. Then for a couple weeks there people were saying we was gonna "kick my ass" for talking crap. Ever since then we have both hated each other.

I saw race him for the shirt to get it back and drag him through the mud in the process.

Yea I think I'm gonna have to have my friend tape this... I'll put my money on my stripped boosted and sprayed b18 sub-ton hatch over his mini-van-lookin car with less power, weighing 1000 lbs more....

Just realized your a V8 Mustang owner racing a 1.8 liter Honda. Didnt know people like you existed. My hat's off to you again.

And yea, instead of racing for money, tell him you'll race for sweatshirts, loser goes home shirt-less.
