Re: code needed for my factory cd player......
The dealer won't charge you money for the code if they're nice enough, but if they do tell them to sod off. A careful search through the internet will reveal the reset code.. My Rx-7's factory stereo blanked out and when I went to our Mazda dealer they told me I needed a brand new stereo. I took a few minutes to search online and found the code and restored it, for free.

Re: code needed for my factory cd player......
I called a few months back to ask for the code and they told me I had to take it to them. Once I got there they wanted to charge me $70 just to give me the code!! So I just went to a pawn shop and bought me a used one for $45 and it works awesome. I really wanted the old one though.
