Replacing a fuel filter on 98 Blazer
I've heard that replacing a fuel filter is fairly simple.
Unfortunatley, I don't know where mine is. For anybody that's done it, please help. Where exactly is it (I'm guessing underneath the frame in line with the gas tank) and are there any special tricks to replacement. Thanks. |

Re: Replacing a fuel filter on 98 Blazer
Inside frame rail on the drivers side, close to the transfer case.
No special tools needed - when I changed mine, I took out the bolt that holds the plastic/rubber sleeve that the filter slides inside of, removed the fuel lines, and reinstalled with the new filter. |

Re: Replacing a fuel filter on 98 Blazer
Please keep a few rags around whenever you mess with the fuel filter. And do not put your face directly under it when you go to pull it out. A small amount of gas is still in the lines.
