1993 Chevrolet cavalier brake problem?
When I brake very hard, it got shut off, after about 15 minutes, I start the engine, and when braking again, the car seems like shaking, or pumping. also, it takes longer distance to stop the car, and making squealing sounds. does it replacing the rotor would solve the problem? or what could be the cause of this problem?

When you say "it got shut off" what do you mean? All the other probs sound like your pads are worn out...

brake problem
thanks for replying back
i was thinking the same thing, maybe i should replace the rotors. also, if i dont turn on the AC, the thermster would go very high, above 200. so everytime i drive, i am very careful because it takes a long distance to stop. sometime, the car become choking when i press brake, it is a sign that the engine would shut off. i dont know where to start to look for the problem. |
