F350 w/460 in it

help,

my father has a f350 with a 460 in it and low geared 4 gear manul and low geared dulley rear end. the carb back fires a bit and has quite of bit of noise coming out of the drivers side exhaust. it has a holly 4 barrel carb (part # unkown) used to run great let 1 guy borrow it for a month and it cam back all shity brakes were gone, backfireing through the carb has no power going up hills and cant even hall a load.

did i mention that we converted it to a flatbed truck(22 feet long) used to be a ameri gas service truck (with the utlity body)

Pull the valve covers and check the valve operation. Jeff

god damn,

i forgot about this thread,

got the truck fixed, tune up, adjusted the floats a bit, fixed some vacum leaks, runs alot better now
