1st Time Buyer - Any known isssues?
I am ready to purchase a Toyota Taco for the first time. Right now I am looking at a 2001 or 2001 4X4 DoubleCab with the 3.4 engine. Does anybody know what to look out for on these models? Are there any known troubles or maintenance issues to be aware of to keep these things running forever? I have heard these are interference engines, so I will need to keep the timing belt changed, but are there any other issues? These trucks seem to have a rep for being tough and dependable, can anybody confirm or deny this? I want to do some checking around before I make such a major purchase.

If the maintenance has been accomplished as scheduled, it will last you longer than any other truck you can mention.
