Civic Problems?

Hey everyone, i just got rid of my 2000 Hyundai Tiburon so i'm new here. I'm looking to get a 2 door civic ex between 96-2000. I'm wondering what problems everyone has had with them? I've read about the cold starts and all that, any idea on what to do to prevent those cold starts by the way? Anyways yeah if anyone could help me out with problems or anything of that sort. I'm planning on doing an Si swap into it with an edelbrock turbo to keep it simple. Any problems with the Si motor that anyone knows about? My parents had a 90 civic back when and we put on about 500k miles before that thing died...ever since that civ i've wanted one. Anyways problems! Any?

Not really, these cars hold up really well. The cold start isn't really a problem, it's more of a normal thing. Anyways, the Si engine (B series) is a great engine, fuel efficent and powerful. These engines can withstand up to a certian PSI without problems, but I wouldn't go over what is recommended.

help:my 96 civic wont start.this is what ive checked.timing belt,fuses,oil,gas,battery.it tries to start but it acts like out of gas,have 1/2 tank.any suggestions?
