I started to get lots of play on my steering wheel and I wonder what can I do?
Ahhh. almost forgot could it be possible that the power-steering pump can cause this??

Re: steering problems
The rack and pinion could be going out on you but the steering should be getting tougher to turn instead of easier. If you have to change the rack and pinion then get the one for the sport. They are tighter and more responsive.I really cant see it being the pump because it is what supplies the pressure th the power assist in the rack and pinion.I would have to say that the o rings inside the rack and pinion are going out letting fluid slip by causing slop.Letting the fluid by when you turn the wheel a little without engaging the pistons that actually push and pull the tire rods.Hopefully that will get you somewhere.

Re: steering problems
yes in the front the yreally got everithing nice stiff.
I also put new vogland springs that are stiffer and about 1 1/2 iches lower. I have not been able to complete the rear because my whater pump gave up and locked on me so now I'm in the middle of a water and oil pump installation. after I finish I'll get a rear s-way bar and all the prothane goodies.

Re: steering problems
did you have any popping noises from the controll arm bushings?More the vertical than the horizontal.I put the kit in my car and I am getting a popping noise from the front end.I suspect it is the metal sleeves that come with the kit that go through the bushing. Also once you get the rear kit on the car will ride like it is on a rail.Almost no body roll at all.

Re: steering problems
