Unhappy d16z6 swap to d13 shell

This is my firs post here. I am looking for advice about an engine swap.
I rolled a civic into a ditch a while back. very stupid.
I still have the engine its a 92 - 95 d16z6 and I came across a 92 - 95 1.3 civic with a blown engine.
I dont know a whole lot about engine swaps and wireing and want to know what would be involved in swaping the d16 into the 1.3 shell.

Re: d16z6 swap to d13 shell

Well all I can find on a D13 engine is it was only in 1 yr of the civic/crx here in the states. The d13a2 came in the 87 Civic/CRX, but I have found nothing else on a D13, and never heard of it coming out in the 5th gen Civics, but I could be wrong. I know the 5th gens came out with D15's and D16's and in that case, you could swap the motors around with relative ease considering both would be OBD1, but I have no clue on a 1.3.

It's because he's in Ireland; which means he's just in the wrong sub forum (should be in the '92-'95 one). From what I can see from searching on google, it's probably a D13B2 engine (EG3 I believe). If it is, then it's a carbureted engine; so I have no clue what the wiring would be like. Obviously you'd have to change it over to a fuel injected setup for the z6.

Re: d16z6 swap to d13 shell

Yea, I didn't know if they had any D13s overseas, but that was all I could find on it. Even if he went over to the 5th gen boards, which isn't near as active as this one, I don't know if those guys would know what all would be involved on re-wiring. Depending on how big of a difference it is on wiring, it could just be easier to swap harnesses, but I also have to deal with wire harnesses all the time and they are starting to get fairly easy to take out.

I mean most of the plugs on components that are on both engines should be the same, there should just be quite a few more plugs for the injectors. You would just have to compare both of them and see what all is different, or take it to someone else and let them wrestle with it.
