When will things get better?

I’m so frustrated with everything in my life right now. I feel as though not a whole lot is happening and I’m in this weird funk… always feeling kind of dazed and out of it… feeling like I’m waiting for something to happen. This year has been a very crappy year… I went through a horrible breakup… I broke my arm… someone Very close to me had cancer… to top it off I got back into the dating seen and found someone that I like, but shortly after getting to know her, her ex comes back into her life. When will the luck swing my way?

i know what you are talking about to an extent. i think that the holiday season puts a lot of pressure on everyone. then that on top of everyday little problems, it all adds up. then on top of that you add finals at school, for me at least. and you're a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. think of it this way. 23 more days and it's a new year and hopefully a better year. keep your head up man.

Thanks for the comments.

I guess what gets to me most right now is thinking about the break up (i don't do this intentionally) and I damn my luck with this new chick and her ex coming back into the picture. I have a huge crush on her, but i do't know what to do now. any advice?

Really the only bright note is the person with cancer is expected to make a full recover. I'm very relieved and happy for this person.

I've only been with one girl in my life and i'm 22. Pretty pathetic, but still, I wouldn't mess with a chick with an ex involved. Kinda sketchy if you ask me. Then again if she's REALLY worth it, then go for it.

Do the same thing i did today...work up some courage and just spill your feelings to her. If she says no, kick her BF's ass

I know with the ex coming along it's trouble, but I can't just turn off these feelings like water. Plus it doesnt help that we talk almost everyday and see e/o 2 times a week.

Re: When will things get better?

Hey, don't sweat it! Just remember no matter how bad you have it there is always someone that has it even worse. Most of us have been in your shoes and have survived to tell about it. Hey, I just lost my job due to job elimination and Christmas is only 13 days away. But there is no need to cry about that since I still have a lot of good things going for me. So just keep a positive attitude and you should be just fine! Good Luck!

Re: When will things get better?

Just remind her there is a reason he is her ex. Tell her how you feel, that you want to be more than friends but the ex has to go. Then dont talk to her until he is gone. Its worked for me atleast 3 times. Everything is a ton easier when "past guys" are out of the way.
