So I haven't posted here in a while...

Well, you know... I haven't.. I've been busy.

Anyway since October 23rd I stopped drinking. November 7th I started a new job. It's not very exciting, but I keep busy and I like the people I work with, so that is nice. I'm not making big money, but then again I have no degree in anything. Regardless, I am doing well all things considering.

So here is where the shit hits the fan!

Weekend of thanksgiving I was given the wonderful opportunity of moving in with some friends. GREAT! This is a hosue my friends have had for about 1.5 years. So when rooms freed up, I said I'd grab one. And here I am. Good yes? Well our "friend" who is the landlord (his family owns the house) says I can move in. It's a bit weird that he is moving out of his own house though. Whatever. He moves out. I move in. His grandmother is here the same time I am moving in. She's a real estate broker. Strangers show up as I am moving in. I ask what's up, she says "they are insurance people". OK Whatever.

Break it down:
Real estate broker showing the house to "people" Grandson moving out...

OK something is up. So we question this. "No, we are not selling this house"

2 weeks of brokers showing the house and we are getting ticked and suspicious.

"What the fuck is going on?!"

BAM. Today the house is sold! I just moved in 2 weeks ago. I now have 60 days to move out. Why did I even bother? These past 2 weeks all of us living in the house have been LIED TO. LIED TO by our supposed friend. He knew ALL along. "Yeah go ahead move in, sign this contract saying you have to stay here blah blah blah". OK WHY NOT?! You're my friend. I've been fucked over. I moved in for no reason and I can't even move out early because I'm in contract. My "friend" let me in this house only to pay rent for 2 months so he could use the extra money to fix the place up and sell it! Not just me, but all of us living here. Come 60 days, 4/6 of us DO NOT HAVE A PLACE TO CALL HOME. WE WILL BE HOMELESS. We are starting to look for a place to move out to. Hopefully we can find something.

In a summary, our supposed "friend":
LIED to ALL of us
Is leaving us homeless
FUCKED me into moving here only to have to leave

I have wasted my time, effort and money to move here. If I had known I never would have moved in. Our 'friend' has not even told me yet what the situation is. Instead I have heard this through people that don't even live here. You'll probably see another post about I how I yelled my face off at him the next we see eachother. When I see him (probably within 2 days) I will tell him straight to his face that he is now my enemy and after all this shit is through with, I will NEVER speak to him again. I will fill everyone in on the details.

Some may think this is too extreme on my part, but this is only pieces of long story that has been ongoing for many years.

Oh and by the way, before we move out, we are throwing a fucking party and a half!

extreme on your part??? i think NOT. thats a horrible situation that he's put you and your housemates in. i dont understand why he would do something like that, then again i dont know the guy. still, good luck on your search for a home. like kustmace said, karma will kick his ass

Seriously, it sucks to do something with friends that goes bad. I have seen lots of friendships go bad when money or agreements are involved.

But don't get too mad at your friend.
His parents (the homeowners) were using him,
-first to get his friends to move in (saves dealing with the riff-raff in the general public)
-then to get him to lie to his buddies about the sale.

Likely he may not benefit from the sale at all, but suffers from pissing you all off.

So don't pound him, but just have a great party!!

Sounds like you have an excuse to start drinking again. Try Small claims court, it's cheaper that hiring a defense attourny for assualt charges.

I HAVE to move out because his family sold the house. Soon we are going to be out on the street, in the middle of winter. He said we will have 3 months but I wouldn't be surprised if the day after Christmas they said "Hey... uh... we need you out in one week". He still hasn't said a word to me. I'm going to lace into him when we are face to face. He fucked us all big time. We may have found a place to move to though. Gotta make some phone calls and check it out. Hopefully things will get better.
