Brake lap replacement
It ins't hard to do, and is covered pictorially in owners manual.
Here's the process for a 2003 model 1. Open rear hatch/door 2. locate the nickle sized plactic plugs in the black plastic moulding that surrounds the brake lamp housing on either side (two on driver side, one on passenger) 3. Use a small flat blade screwdiver to gently pop out the plastic plug(s) 4. Use a phillips/cross head screwdriver to remove the two screws. Rather more difficult on passenger side because the lower one must be accessed from outside the door, with the door ajar. 5. Pull the light fixture away from the body 6. Remove, by unscrewing, the appropriate lamp holder (there are four) 7. Remove, by pressing in & unscrewing the failed lamp. 8. Using a new bulb, reverse the steps. Harder to write than to do. Jim D |
