How does the weatherstripping look? If it's torn, cracked or loose try replacing it. Also try check the rubber trunk stoppers on the sides of the trunk opening. You can twist these right or left to adjust how far down the lid will close.

I had a similar problem when I bought the car. A few days after I bought it, it rained and the trunk was flooded with water. Turns out that the trunk weather strip was damaged. It costs $72 at a Buick dealer, but you can probably try looking around a junk yard for one.

On my PA the seal of the rear lamp unit was leaking. I have sealed it with silicone. Problem solved.

Had that problem too! I just taped an umbrella on the trunk! Ok, maybe not. I had a bad seal on the left rear light leaking into the trunk, sealer fixed it also!

I've owned 2 PA's a 91 and now a 92--the 91 had 165K on it when I hit an old pickup and the still in use 92 has 225K and yes the trunks leak. They leak through the tail lenses and the weatherstripping aroung the trunk. Had an auto trunk closer on the 92 that I changed over to a manual hand push. Made the trunk lid come down tighter and that fixed that 1. The tail lenses are a silicone fix . Hope that helps ya. Had to clean alot of rusty tools when it rained hard.
