Here's a few things to check. Even though it didn't sputter and you can smell fuel doesn't mean you might not ran out of fuel. Check that first. Next check to see if your getting spark to your spark plugs. Pull off a plug wire and take out the spark plug and put it back into the spark pug wire. Have someone turn over the motor. If your getting spark, you will see and hear it sparking between the spark plug gap. If there is no spark chance is your ignition module control board is bad. This is also know as the coil pack. All you plug wires run to the coil pack and there are 3 coils attached the ignition module control board. Also there is a wire connection that plugs into the back of the board. Make sure that is not loose and in right and check for bad or cracked wires at the connector. A bad wire or not connected right will result in no spark. Now if your getting spark check your fuel pump it could be bad.
