4x4 switch has no lights

Hello everyone,
I did a search and could not find anything on the following problem:

I have a 95 slt 4x4 and the switch on the dash does not have any lights lighting up and it does not switch into 4 wheel drive. I have checked the fuses and replaced the switch. Any other suggestions:

When replacing the tccm do you have to reprogram or reset anything or does the new tccm simply plug in?

Just plug it in... You should disconnect the battery while doing so though.
