is there a way to make my intake louder?
i have a cai, and i can barely hear it, my exhaust overpowers it zuz its 2.5 inch with header, no cat, no resonator....its pretty damn loud, but i dont mind it, i was actaully thinking about getting a different muffler to change the tone...but anyway...ive seen people not even use intake piping, they just put the filter right on the throttle body...is there a reason...sound? performance? too cheap to pay for piping?

as a general rule i think the closer to the TB the filter is, the louder it will be

Re: is there a way to make my intake louder?
Then what does it matter? After you get a turbo you can supply your preference of BOV.
Also, pertaining to your exhaust thread, don't worry about it until after you install the turbo. No.1 Rule of Turbo is Turbos don't like exhaust...

so...when i get the turbo on...how should my exhaust setup be? is my 2.5 in big enough? how should i run it? my friend with an srt just cut his exhaust off right after the cat, and put a 90 degree angle bend pipe on it pointing towards the ground....it sounds like a deisel...but its a nice deep rumble.

Re: is there a way to make my intake louder?
2.5" should be good for turbo. If you need to stay legal get a 2.5" hi-flow cat attached to a 2.5" downpipe. And don't worry about resonators...

im also against turndowns, just as a personal preference, not to mention the whole thing about exhaust being caught under the vehicle, which can cause problems
