Factory CD Player Won't Play
I have a 99 taurus with the standard radio /tape /cd . I put the 6 disc factory cd player in the trunk and plugged it into the wiring harness, and
it will not work. The car it come out of was a 96 sho taurus that had the premium radio cd/tape deck. Has anybody ran into this problem. Otis |

maybe the wiring is wrong? or it could be the fuses, check your box and see if therye all working and alight when you test it.
otherwise if ure not sure, take out the cdplayer and test it if its still working ok, jsut by touching its power and ground to the battery itself. if it is working, then its prolly either ur wiring or fuses.

Re: Factory CD Player Won't Play
I had this problem of my 1997 ford taurus. Put the cd-changer into the trunk, plugged in the wiring and Nothing! found out that the Ground wire I was using was not making a good contact with the chassis, had to find a better area to connect the ground strap for the cd changer. Has worked fine ever since then.
