Wink gsx?

people argue with me and say rear wheel is the way to go, and i tell them the gsx, (all wheel) is better. it has more top end, and burn most people off the line. if you agree or disagree post ur comments.

Re: gsx?

depends.

AWD is good for launching, and most street racing

but if your building a straight up dragster. RWD all the way.

AWD is for launching, RWD is for everything else

AWD does not have more top end.

do a search and you will get more information.

Re: gsx?

idk, you can do some drifting with awd and the top end isnt bad, ive had mine up to 150 no problem. To me, its to each their own because they both have ups and downs and niether one is better than the other

What did you use to override the speed limiter of 140 mph? Also I'm not calling BS or anything, but how did you get up that fast to begin with? Your only on the 14b, and your AWD, so to me it would be pretty hard to get it up that high, unless you had miles of road.

the awd modles didn't come with a speed limiter just the fwds. It really wasnt hard to do. I was crusing at 55 and i put the pedel to the floor and within 5 or so miles i was at 145 and another mile I hit 150

Re: gsx?

were you going uphill or something, because thats a little slow? JUST JOKING! haha. I can believe that speed because my cousin's talon can already top out at 135 mph with his Talon tsi awd on a straight. I think he can go faster than 135 .His mods are pretty much stage 1 burshur racing mods. http://www.buschurracing.com/dsm-stage1.htm

Re: gsx?

I think it all depends on what your used to driving. Everybody has a different feel for each car. In the winter time I would rather drive my RWD Firebird than my AWD Talon. I still drive the Talon and have fun with it but I just have a better feel for the RWD. I think AWD is better for high speed rally courses though. It just gives you that slight feel of the rear end pushing you through the turn without going sideways because the front is constantly pulling you straight... Just the way I look at it though, I'm sure others would disagree with me.

Re: gsx?

In my opinion:

RWD: is probably the best platform for drifting. In Drag the fastest cars are usually RWD mainly because the FWD and AWD cars are usually limited to engine size because most of the time the engine is mounted sideways. But this is why there are seperate classes for each type of drive train.

FWD: is pretty much a good all-around platform except in drifting (though there are some FWD drift cars). FWD cars can be strong on the street and in various types of racing. FWD is good for circuit and are also competitive in rally.

AWD: I think AWD is the best platform for circuit racing, time-attacks, and the like. They are also probably the best for rally as the Evo's and WRX's seem to dominate. As for AWD in drag, its great having AWD off the line but after that its pretty much dead weight.

Each drive train type has its good and bad points and is best suited for certain conditions. But by saying that one is superior to the other is just crazy.
