Who's Who

I'm curious about the composition of the forum members. Some really know the complexities of the automobile. My knowledge and experience are fair. Nonetheless, I'm from San Diego, CA. I was at the Last Supper so I got some mileage behind me. Retired submariner (diesel-electric), retired Building Automation Engineer. In addition to going deep sea fishing occasionally, I participate in three other forums- computers, medicine and flight simulation. I am also a volunteer tutor in math at one of our middle schools. I tried senior citizen forums but all I hear are their Geritol, Ben-Gay and Metamucil plus most drive Buick. I'm not there yet. Nice to chat with yaw'll.

As for me, I'm about a decade away from that Metamucil thing,
I still enjoy tinkering with my cars and motorcycle. and just for grins,
here's one of my experiments a few months back. I ended up removing the "Improvement:

I call it BLAVETTE

I got some new wheels and tires for my corvette, so I added the old set-up to the Blazer (Blavette) just for laughs
they're 255ZR50-16s

Re: Who's Who

After having fixxed engineres problems for years I don't like them either, But I'd love to see Rlith design a car.

Unlike most engineres he knows how to work on them, so he knows what works and what doesn't.

Not to mention if you put 1 part 2" over the mechanic might be able to get to it without lifting the motor.

Us old farts probably learn more from these young guys, than they do from us

Wow, I consider 36 a young pup.
I guess I'm ready for the rocking chair in an assisted living home.
Got to order me a Craftmatic bed now, I'll get back to ya as soon as my
grandkids let me have the computer again (probably tomorrow).

Should have done this thread a long time ago, it's kinda nice to see the faces behind the names.

Christ, I wouldn't even know where to begin designing a car! LOL
I leave that to people who have imagination and talent... I just come in and learn how it's put together!

Pretty easy thing to do Rob after you leard how, and basicly the same on all forums that I've been on.

You'll need the photo's on some web space somewhere, and copy the photo's actual address.
To do this r- click on the photo, go to properties, and then copy hte web address that you see show.

Type in

done.

The AF logo looks like this (without the spaces)
