Question about putting aftermarket headlights on...
I bought aftermarket headlights for my 98 GS. Today when I went to put them on, I ran into a problem. How do I get the bulbs into the new headlights? Its not like on Hondas and other cars where you just unplug the bulb and plug them into the new headlight. This one seems as though you have to take apart the whole headlight assembly to get the bulbs and wiring out. Has anyone ever done this before and if so, please explain how you go through it. What I thought was going to be an easy process turned out to boggle my mind. Unless Im overlooking something real stupid. Please help with any advice you have.

Your just trying to take the bulbs out?
Unscrew the grey cover. Pull the metal clip holding the base of the bulb in. Unhook bulb. Done. Then just take apart the old headlight housings, and screw the new ones on, and replace bulbs. Wouldn't that work?

Yeah thats what I was asking, do I have to take apart the stock headlight? The new headlights that I bought are projectors. I actually just wanted to replace my stock headlights with brand new stock headlights because mine are all nasty but they go for $130 each.

You are confusing the term "headlight". Are you just changing out the bulbs, or the actual headlight assembly? Two different things.

Yes, I'm replacing the entire headlight assembly...so what do I do? Do I have to completely take apart the stock headlight assembly to get at the wiring and bulbs or what?

Have you even looked at the setup of the headlights? The bulbs are taken out from behind. They are sealed by a grey cover, you just unscrew the cover and bang the bulbs are right there. Then you press down the little metal clip, and take off the harness to the bulb. Very simple, just look at it. Then ask questions.

Also don't write off those old headlights just yet. My old ones looked like crap, all yellow with age and you could barely see into them. Then I tried Maguiars PLASTX compound with a Mothers Power Ball on the end of power drill. Holly crap, I never expected them to turn out that good! They look brand new.
