touching up paint

So I have all the average little hood dings from driving on the freeway and then I have a bigger spot on my rear bumper from where I backed into my friends deck (the thing sits way out there and didnt notice it til it was too late) so i decided I'm gonna get some touch up paint for the hood atleast.

My problem is im kinda iffy on which paint to get. I think the code for mine is U8774 and http://www.paintscratch.com/cgi-bin/makepaint2.cgi has that code which is red but it looks darker than my paint. Maybe I'm just crazy, but is this the right color?

Pics of my car: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/794378

What do you guys think?

For one your paint looks a little faided, and it dries lighter than it looks. I put some on my car it looked to dark but when it dried it was perfect.

Re: touching up paint

I ordered from them as well and they said that the pics may be a little off because of monitors and what not but the color based on the paint code would match my car and it did.

Re: touching up paint

The code doesnt do much. You will have to have it custom mixed and put into the can $20. There are paint stores that do it. maybe u could find something that fits from other cars. Yours is faded. I would consider repainting the whole bumper in a paint shop ($100) if you do most of the work yourself. with touch up you can reach some nice results if you do it properly and than color-sand it and buff it. If you can borrow a small compressor you will be able to hook up a small paint gun to make it seemless, but the choice of color is defenatly the most important factor. Its very hard unless the car is white or black. If thats a 2 stage paint than its even harder.
