what do the stages mean for turbos and clutches ie:stage 1 vs. stage 2 and 3

Marketing gimmick.

it varries really but pretty much higher stage more indepth.

Stages realy dont mean much of anything as one companys stage one might be same as anothers stage 3.

To be honest this is a very good question alot of people are probbly thankful you asked it.

companies such as clutchmaster put stages to catergorize the amount of torque their clucth can handle. it really doesnt have any meaning besides a way to catergorize their clutches. the importance to buying a clutch is what amount of torque you need your clutch to handle.

stages really is just a marketing term.

so a stage 3 turbo doesn't give you more hp than a stage 1
