project car
hey, i know many of you have 944's (including 968, 924, 951, ect.) and you're probably one of the best sources for the information i'm looking for so here goes...
how much power can the trans. from the 951 handle in general? i don't want to get started building a motor only to find out the trans. can't handle the power i'm going to be putting down |

Re: project car
The 951 can generally handle the power, it's the n/a trannies that are weak. I've seen 951s with 500hp and a stock LSD transmission.

Re: project car
ok, that's a good start...what about the stock bottom end? are there any companies that produce off-the-shelf internal parts, or are the stock internals up to the task of say...2 bar (30ish psi)?
in no way am i saying that i'll be needing that much power or even running that much power, but i'm a firm believer in building for more than i'll ever need, mostly so i'll never have problems with the car not being up to the task |

Re: project car
I know of a guy that was running around 27psi, and I THINK he was on stock internals...I'm not completely sure though.

Re: project car
are there companies out there that make engine internals for it or would they be one-off parts?
