valve adjustment 2000 Accord ex 4 cyl v-tec

I have 2000 Accord ex 4 cyl v-tec with only 40,000 miles on it. There is a fair bit of valve noise coming from the engine and the dealer says it needs a valve adjustment and that it is not covered by the warranty. Anybody else had a similar experience and/or can offer advice.

Yup, the dealer is correct. Valve adjustments are not covered under the standard warranty. 4 cyl engine valves can be adjusted. The dealer can do it for about 1 hour of labor or $130. plus parts (valve cover gasket and spark plug grommets or you can do it with the tools.
