Question Few questions/need some help

Ok first off everyone bare with me I just have some questions.

I have a 91 civic hatch Std and nothing is done to it realy yet but I have heard that someone put a s200 gauge cluster in a 88-91 hatch does anyone know about this and if so know any sites that could help me?
also I would like to do a rear disc brake swap but I was wondering what would be better 90-93 integra rear disc/88-91 crx si rear brakes or does the 88-91 hatch si's have them too?

I am also trying to find out what interior will fit in the back of my hatch I have gotten so many different answers so I figured you all could help me out.

I have a few other questions but I can not remember them at this moment so all the help you guys/girls can shoot my way would be great.

plus I was wondering if anyone in the central cali area knows how to do a DPFI to MPFI swap dont really need that much help cuz I really want to do it but hey I am always looking for people to just kick it with.

Re: Few questions/need some help

I Live in Modesto if thats close enough...lol....and If I aint wrong only 90-91 si's had rear disc and maybe 89 not sure...I always owned a 90 or 91 crx si...and the DPFI to MPFI swap is pretty simple...just need to get all the stuff first or unless you have it...didnt really say...

Re: Re: Few questions/need some help

I do not have all the stuff yet but I am in the process of getting it I am actually getting another hatch shell and b-series mounts and a b16a for 700 the shell has a crx hf wiring harness put in but not done thats why I am getting it soooo cheap but I also would like to do the MPFI swap on my recently purchased 91 hatch this one is the third I have owned and I love them.I would really just like someone who has done this swap before kinda watch me over so I dont mess it up I dont think I will but company is good too.I hate working on a cars alone or without a radio.I think my email is on file go ahead and email me if u wish if its not just tell me and I will give it to you

Re: Few questions/need some help

well im in NY so i cant help watch u do the swap, but i can give input about the rear disk conversion. The integra rear disk is bigger then the SI's so natrualy a better choice. Just gets alittle anoying when u have many different parts from diferent cars to keep track of. GL

Re: Few questions/need some help

Just to add... only 90-91 CRX Si has rear disc brakes. No 4th gen hatch ever came with them. And yeah, the integra discs are bigger...

Re: Few questions/need some help

just goto the junkyard and grab the whole back end basically, both rear trailing arms with the brakes on them, the E-brake cables and?..... thats it. Would be nice to clean them up before puttin them on. When removing the trailing arms, there is the adjustment bar on the front for the allignment, leave this bar on the trailing arm and disconnect it from the car, this well save alittle allignment trouble in the end, though u will need to get a four wheel alignment after all is said and done, but it wont be off as bad as if u were to try and setup that part on your own. hope this helps. Re: Few questions/need some help

wrong 91crxtc, that little front bar your talking about. if you dont want yoru alignment to be messed up, disconnect it at the trailing not at the car because the car side is the side that is adjusted. so if you want to save soem alignment problems, take it off at the trailing arm

you will need, the whole trailing arm, ebrake cables and thats it. dont take the brake lines off at the caliper, take it off at that idk what you call it, thats in the wheel well. youll see what im talkinga bout.

you might also want to change the trailing arm bushings because they tend to be cracked and torn. i used mugen bushings, i would recommend stock or mugen bushings. if you do use 90-93 teg rear discs and if you want to use mugen bushings, pm me and ill tell you how to get it on because htey dont fit

Re: Few questions/need some help

nobody is perfect.

when i was putting on my discs, i couldnt get that front bolt out of the compensator arm at the trailing arm. so what i did was, clean the chassis side. marked exactly where it came off at. lossened the bolt so i could drop the compensator arm and the trailing arm so i could get o the compensator arm to take off the bolt.

now if you just want to swap compensator arms, just clean the area and mark it with a pen or something so when you put the new trailing arm up, just match the compensator arm to the mark on the chassis.

oh and the reason i did this was because i had just gotten an alignment so i knew all the marks were good. if you havent gotten one in a while. just put it back anywhere then go get an alignment done
