Heater core replacement

Heater core replacement on 1999 Ram 1500: The Haynes manual is woefully inadequate! After removing the two nuts and one bolt to take out the heater-AC unit, I found several more which had to be removed. Then, with the big unit free, I found that there simply isn't room to remove it. The manual shows a picture of an older van, with the unit tilted and being removed. But that can't work on mine. The radiator, condenser, etc don't allow enough room. Does anybody know how to get this dog out? Thanks.

Re: Heater core replacement

Not sure, but it's likely a "dash remove" item.
